Import and export of Vietnam in the first two months of 2021 still increased by double digits despite the outbreak of COVID-19

Despite the complicated developments of COVID-19, Vietnam’s import and export activities in the first two months of 2021 still recorded a high growth rate compared to the same period in 2020.
Generally for the first 2 months of 2021, export turnover was estimated at 48.55 billion USD, up 23.2% over the same period in 2020. In addition, despite the difficulties of the world economic situation, Vietnam’s import and export turnover reached 95.87 billion USD, up 24.5% over the same period last year.
- The United States is the largest export market of Vietnam in the first two months of this year with a turnover of US $ 14.2 billion, an increase of 38.2% over the same period last year. Next is the market of China, EU, ASEAN, Korea, Japan
- China is the largest import market of Vietnam with an estimated turnover of 17.3 billion USD, an increase of 85.7% over the same period last year. Next is the market of Korea, ASEAN, Japan, EU and the US
Some typical items in the first two months of 2021 also achieved higher growth in exports turnover and imports turnover
compared to the same period last year.
